OUR TEAMS
Robot Revolution (#27600) trains every Tuesday and brings together 9 enthusiastic students, most of whom are experiencing FTC for the very first time. Formerly known as The Frenchies, the team entered its second season with a new name, fresh energy, and plenty of ambitious ideas. Their greatest strengths are creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to get excited about almost anything involving robots, tools, or unexpected engineering problems.
As a newer FTC team, Robot Revolution is actively developing its organizational systems and technical expertise in areas such as coding, robot design, and 3D modeling. Their workshops are a mix of brainstorming, building, testing, learning, and the occasional “Why is this part upside down?” moment. Despite the steep learning curve, the team has shown tremendous growth and continues to push itself to improve with every session and every competition.

Apex Dynamics #27602 is one of the two FTC teams proudly representing SDFAS. Training every Thursday, this 14-member team is entering its second season in the FIRST Tech Challenge after previously competing under the name The French Flipper Factory. With many returning members, Apex Dynamics has built a strong reputation for organization, teamwork, and documentation. Their meetings are filled with strategy discussions, engineering notebook updates, robot testing, and enough sticky notes and task boards to power a small company.
While their robots may occasionally decide to develop “personality traits” during testing, the team is working hard to strengthen its technical skills in Android Studio programming and Fusion 360 CAD design. Whether debugging autonomous code, redesigning a robot mechanism for the fifth time, or preparing for competition interviews, Apex Dynamics approaches challenges with determination, collaboration, and a good sense of humor.
