OUR ROBOTS

These are our robots from when we first participated in the FTC robotics competitions (INTO THE DEEP) to now our second year competing in DECODE. The former have claws for gripping Specimens (see Into the Deep intro video) and the latter have launchers for propelling Artifacts (see Decode intro video). 

Last year, the SDFAS robotics teams were just starting out, beginning to explore the world of FTC and competitive robotics. This year, we have worked to progress and learn  in the different fields,  alongside our mentors, and our improvement both in the software aspect and in the field of engineering has reflected in our standings. Our robot has evolved along with the different  challenge and the theme of the season. We kept most of our base from last season, but  the rest of it has changed drastically: Rather than a flat, low profile robot from the relatively protected Into the Deep season, we have constructed a boxy, durable shape for the competitive Decode season.
